A true friend is one who will give up their own comforts and put them in uncomfortable situations for your sake. A true friend is someone who knows what they can do to cheer you up, encourage you, make you laugh and know what to tell you to help you become a better person. A true friend is someone who laughs with you, cries with you, ignores you when you’re being an idiot, forgives you when you’re ready to apologize, is constantly trying to help you become your best. A true friend lets you make your own decisions, with a bit of advice. A true friend won’t let you go too far off the deep end without telling you how dumb you’re being. A true friend will stand by you even after you’ve made of fool of yourself. A true friend is excited for you when you’ve accomplished something great and mourns with you when you have experienced some sort of loss. A true friend knows you inside and out and loves you for who you are. A true friend gives of their time and can simply make your whole day through a little text. A true friend knows that it’s through the small and simple things that they do for you that really show you that they love you.
