The Caregiver
Yesterday I was reading the book "Jesus the Christ." In the book I got to a part that talks about how Heavenly Father can tend to our needs and understand our potential because he knows us perfectly. That got me to thinking about how well I know myself and what I believe my own potential to be.
Now my mom thinks I'm weird for the next step that I took, but I decided to look up different personality types to figure out exactly what I am, so I could understand myself better. (Yeah yeah yeah... weird) Anyways I came across a page that listed sixteen different personality types. Personality Page. (I don't think just one fits most people perfectly, but a mix of a few)
As I was reading over this page I came across the personality type called "The Caregiver" And this is what it said
I started reading it and made it to the part that says "Tend to put needs of others over their own needs" That is when my mom started laughing and said "Nope not you."
OOOO OUCH.Slap of reality to realize that you don't possess what I believe to be one of the most desirable personality traits.
We started talking about people who do possess this trait and were able to name a few people that we knew, one of those who were named was President Monson. Every time I think of who I would like to be a little bit more like here on Earth I always think of our loving Prophet. He definitely is one who is known as a caregiver.
As members of the church we believe that we can change into whom we would like to be. Luckily enough we have a loving Heavenly Father who helps us reach our greatest potential and become like him through our faith. In the Book of Mormon we can read how we can become more like our savior Jesus Christ. Located in Moroni 7 we read
48 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, apray unto the Father with all the energy of heart, that ye may be filled with this love, which he hath bestowed upon all who are true bfollowers of his Son, Jesus Christ; that ye may become the sons of God; that when he shall appear we shall cbe like him, for we shall see him as he is; that we may have this hope; that we may be dpurified even as he is pure. Amen.
Because of this scripture I now know a little more about my potential and have a clearer view on who I can become here on Earth.
Robs, I hope one day when I read about different personalities, you will be able to look at me and say... "Yeah, you're a definite Caregiver"

Little Clubber
My family has been blessed in so many ways throughout my life, and one of those blessings is the fact that I have such incredibly solid siblings. I am so happy to have a sister and brothers who are HUGE examples to me and who lead such wholesome lives. I do not know where I'd be in my life without their influence.
All three of my siblings have served missions for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Through there service they have brought many people unto the gospel and allowed them to taste of the fruits and joy that come from this church through our Heavenly Father and his son Jesus Christ. What a blessing it is to me to have been placed in a family that has taught and guided me as I've developed my own testimony.
Well about a month ago, my little brother Caleb returned from The Houston Texas East mission. That day when he returned was one of the most sweet days of my life. I love being with my family and knowing that we will be together forever. Nothing makes me happier. I'm so excited that I get to spend eternity with my absolute best friends.

As you're walking into the grocery store, through the school halls or strolling through the park you at times are lucky enough to spot the glistening of a shiny quarter placed ever so nicely beneath your feet. When do you pass by a quarter and not pick it up? NEVER EVER because the options in the toy vending machines are endless (sticky
hands, friendship rings, little frogs, a handful of chicklets, tattoos,
cheesecake flavored bubble gum...etc)
Therefore EVERYONE loves themselves a quarter and there my friends is why everyone loves a human that is a quarter (considering I'll be living til I'm 100)
Year 25=Greatness
So cheers to a new age
My birthday was a success

My birthday was a success
My students threw me a huge Birthday party that they spent 2 weeks planning. I am one lucky teacher!!!!!
They even called up my brothers and invited Britt to the party! Love my family and friends
AND of course I ended up at Texas Roadhouse for my birthday lunch. We LOVE that place.
Adventure Club
For the past few years my friend Nicole Erin Wait Johnson seems to believe that I'm too big of a dreamer. Well I like to go and do. When I want something, I'm going to go do it. After all a few years ago I convinced her and Parks to travel to the great island of Hawaii with me for 2 weeks.
The key now is to seek out people who will participate in my adventurous life with me. After all doing things with a friend is ALWAYS 10 times better. (Well almost... If they aren't Debbie Downers)
So this year for one of my resolutions I decided to go with picking up a new hobby. You can say I'm in the process of finding one right now. So with my friend Britt, we are on the search of a new hobby... Or hobbies.
Adventure #1
Rock climbing at the Quarry may have not been the biggest success, but we sure did have fun for the hour that we were there :)
Adventure #2
Didn't realize we were going to find a frozen waterfall at the end of our hike! Hike=Success. Snowshoeing=HUGE success.
Snow Shoeing.... Well I think we nailed it with our new favorite winter activity! Snow shoeing was beyond what we expected. Britt and I already enjoy hiking... so pick your favorite summer hike, throw some snow shoes on and Shabam, you've got yourself a dream!
We were lucky enough to have a little tour guide named Rico lead us up the trails to Stewart Falls. I believe I have now done that hike in all 4 seasons and winter has been my favorite yet!
ADVENTURE #3.......
Possibly cross country skiing, aircraft sighting or even crater snorkeling... (Gotta get certified on SCUBA)

True Disciple
I absolutely LOVE Stephanie Nielson
In this video she says a line that really hit me
She is talking about the good she is doing in her life,
and giving all the credit to our loving Heavenly Father
"I pray, then I get answers, and then I do it"
I honestly believe that having the spirit in your life, directing you to do God's work here on earth, is one of the absolute greatest blessings and gifts.
Personal revelation and the power of the Holy Ghost are Incredible!
BRITT FITZ are you funny?
Sometimes you get a roommate that makes you laugh ALL the time. Sometimes that Roommate ends up being funnier when she's in a crazy state of mind. Well on long days like today I appreciate Britt's sense of humor.
#1:
ME: Feeling a little crazy I say "What state of mind am I in right now?"
Britt: An empire state building mind
WHO SAYS THAT?
# 2:
ME: I really think we need to pick up a new hobby. One that we really never imagined doing.
Let's start painting on Canvases.
Britt: OK. Can we start with paint by number?
#3
Britt: I am digging albino boys these days
Welp. Britt is great. Britt is Clever. Britt is every boy's Desire.
Ok I know none of these are funny to you but they are funny to me.

Forever Amazed
I do stand all amazed at the Love Jesus offers me. It's incredible the love that he has delivered to me on countless occassions and the blessings which he has placed in my life and the blessings that I know that he wants to give me because of the Love which he has!
So I may have posted this video before. Oh well
It's my fav! God lives. Jesus died for us and
they both Love us infinitely
God Intervenes
So have you ever wondered why life never turns out the way you planned? Ever wondered why your greatest desires can at times become your greatest trials? Yes and Yes
Well Luckily the scriptures have the answers to these questions. God intervenes, and boy oh boy does it cause a whirlwind.
Today I was sitting in the temple with my roommate Brittney and I was overwhelmed with the realization of this gospel truth. God intervenes because God loves us. He knows far greater than I do and by recognizing this I find empowerment. How great is it that we have the greatest and most Loving being designing our happiness? Sure we've been given agency and are still free to choose a lot of how our lives turn out, but it is our attitude and faith that create the happiness we are seeking.
Matter of fact being
1) God Loves us more than we as mortals can comprehend
2) Through faith an all knowing God we can trust that he is creating an AMAZING life for me
3) When we open up our eyes we can already see where he has intervened and can feel blessed about the outcomes. That's why counting our blessings makes a huge change in perspective
4) Choosing to accept God's will isn't always easy, but when we finally do it is empowering and relieving. It brings a new sense of happiness.
5) I can't wait to see what God has in store for me, as long as I am doing my part
