The Big 5th grade Upset!

While sitting in my 5th grade class today I had a flash back to my younger years.
I was what you call one of the runts along side with my friend Elyse. All our friends had grown and alot of them had already retired their training bras. Me and Elyse well we were nowhere near wearing a bra yet and the idea of it upset us! So the big day came where all the little boys and all the little girls seperate into two different rooms and are taught about human sexuality aka The Maturation Program! At this program we learn all about how the body changes into a woman and what we need to expect within the next few years. Luckily enough we were all given cute little goodie bags that supplied us with a pad, tampon, deodorant, and a pamphlet about the woman body.
Several of us snickered about the idea of other girls already being on their periods, when in all reality we all waited for that day to come ourselves! (Why? I do not know) Anyways I finally made it into my first training bra... it had a cute little pink flower on it! Did I need that training bra yet? No, I finally realized that I wanted to be like my friends and "maturing"

Well today the girls in my 5th grade class all  received a letter to take home and have their parents sign for them to be a part of this look into the future! The whole class threw a fit!! EWWWWWWWWWWWWW that is so gross Mr. D! (Mr. Dickson is the teacher I work with)
We don't want to go. Oh gross that is sick and wrong! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA oh my gosh I forgot how the awkward stages of life are just beginning for these little divas! No wonder they all bunch up with the girls still and think boys are sick. Well I just sat back and laughed because I remembered feeling the same exact way! All I can say is enjoy your next few years girls because once a month from then on you will be a rollercoaster of emotion with many more side effects!
